Onomatopoeia, what is it?

You may have read or heard from an adult person, or even from a child who already knows how to read, a Comic.
Reading is really fun, and when we read stories with fantastic characters, with super powers, it's much more exciting, it feels like we're inside the book.
That's how it happens in Comics, in the Charges it is us Comic books.
Let's learn a little about a written expression, widely used in these stories, known in Portuguese as:

Onomatopoeia

What would a comic book be if it weren't for the onomatopoeia? Do you know these strange names, which provoke a different and amusing speech in the stories? Yeah, they usually show up to imitate noises, noises, sounds and movements; and it doesn't even have to be just people, it can be animals, objects and things.

See some examples of onomatopoeias below:
Dim Dong!!! - Imitates the sound of a bell;
Knock Knock!!! - Imitates the sound of a knock on the door;
Atchim!!! - Imitates the sound of a person sneezing;
Boommmmmm!!! - Imitates the sound of a bomb;

Buaaaa!!! – Imitates the sound of crying;
Nhac!!! – Imitates the sound of a bite;
See how cool it is to learn? Now, invite a friend or someone else and give her a challenge, ask her if she knows what onomatopoeia is, and remember the weird words in the comic books. Learn by playing!
