Imagine crossing the street and coming across a huge billboard; sitting at the table of an establishment and witnessing someone handing out leaflets, anyway.... User friend, in this imagining of circumstances that we suggest, you could see that they are situations that occurred with any of us, that is, it concerns something very recurrent, commonplace.
Thus, not only these small examples, but also several others represent what, theoretically, we call the textual genres. They, in turn, materialize through specific moments in which we identify in each of them a intention, a purpose by the issuer, that is, that person who speaks and/or writes. Thus, there is nothing better in our meeting than to discuss some of these genres that fall into the category of called persuasive texts. Thus, returning to the examples mentioned above, as well as knowing others, we find that these texts are are guided by the fact of convincing, seducing, inducing the interlocutor to adopt a certain type of behavior. See some examples:
Persuasive texts induce the interlocutor to adopt a certain posture
Advertisement
The purpose of anyone who is willing to create an advertisement is to sell an idea, a product, advertise about a particular event, among other purposes.
classified ad
Buy, sell, exchange, rent, advertise about something that is missing, advertise and search for job offers, among other intentions.
community campaign
Mobilize the population to adopt a certain type of posture, with a view to raising awareness about a particular social problem.
Poster
"Say no to violence!" It is a speech that can be present in the posters used by people who participate in a “March for Peace”, why not?
As can be seen, it induces the interlocutor, in general, to demonstrate an aversion to violence.
Well, given these elucidations, it is good not to forget that we live with the texts considered persuasive, and the best part: without having to leave the house, we just need to look in the letter box, right?
