Peanuts. What is and how to treat the foot bug

A lot of people have had bugs, but do you know what that bug is?

The foot bug is a reddish-brown flea that when adult measures around 1 mm in length. It is the adult female that has the ability to pierce the skin of humans, pigs and other animals, to feed on blood and lay their eggs.

The bug can infest any part of the body, but especially the feet.

The larvae of this insect are mostly found in muddy, sandy terrain, usually in hot, dry and shady places. The time of year when these pets appear most is summer.

These insects can penetrate any part of the body, but the main areas affected are the soles of the feet, the heels, and the corners of the toes and hands. The best way to avoid catching the bug is to avoid going barefoot.

When the person is with a foot bug, he will feel a slight itching in the place where the female of that insect is lodged. As time goes by, the itching increases and the person may experience swelling at the site.

Although the female lays her eggs and dies shortly thereafter, it is recommended that the insect be removed from the affected part, so that there is no risk of inflammation and localized ulcers.

When the foot bug invades our body, we feel itchy where it is

Failure to remove the insect from the affected region can lead to secondary infections such as tetanus and gangrene. There are records of cases where amputation of the toes was necessary.
