One of the verbs that often give Portuguese speakers work is the verb to recover. In order not to make mistakes in the conjugation, it is necessary to understand its main characteristic: defectiveness. But what is defectiveness?
The two forms, reaviu and reaveu, are not allowed because in the present tense the verb reave can only be conjugated in the first and second person plural. Watch:

Me
You
he/she
We let's get back
You Reables
They
As the defectiveness affects the conjugation of the verb recover in the present tense of the indicative, consequently the conjugation of the present tense of the subjunctive is also affected. This is because the present tense of the subjunctive is formed from the first person singular present tense. Check it out:
Subjunctive present
that I
that you
that he/she
that we
that you
that they/they
Imperfect subjunctive past tense
if I rehear
if you reouvesses
if he/she rehear
if we let's get back
if you reusables
if they/they rehear
when I retrieve
when you reouvres
when he/she retrieve
when U.S we recover
when you reouverdes
when they/they rediscover
The same happens with almost all the conjugation of the verb recover in the imperative mood. Watch:
