Types of Climate in Brazil. Characteristics of Brazil's climates

The Brazilian territory, due to its location and large extension, has different types of climate. the main Brazil climates they are: equatorial, tropical, semiarid, altitude tropical, Atlantic tropical and subtropical.
Equatorial: this is the predominant climate in the Amazon region, which covers the North Region and portions of the states of Mato Grosso and Maranhão. The average annual temperature is high, ranging between 25 °C and 27 °C, with rain throughout the year and high air humidity.
Tropical: it covers states in the Midwest, Northeast, North and Southeast regions. It features two well-defined seasons: Winter (dry) and summer (rainy). The average temperature varies between 18 °C and 28 °C.
Semiarid: this Brazilian climate prevails in the northeastern interior. The temperature is high, averaging 27 °C, and rainfall is sparse and irregular. These characteristics, in addition to the lack of public policies (construction of water reservoirs), hinder the development of agricultural activities.

Altitude tropical: typical of the higher areas of the Southeastern states (Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo). The temperature, with an annual average between 18 °C and 22 °C, is lower in the higher areas of the relief. A feature of this climate is frost during winter.
Atlantic tropical: it is present in the coastal zone that extends from Rio Grande do Norte, in the Northeast, to Paraná, in the South. The temperature is high, around 25 °C. The rains, regular and well distributed, are more intense in the South and Southeast during the summer and in the Northeast during the winter.
Subtropical: predominant climate in portions of the Brazilian territory located to the south of the Tropic of Capricorn, in the Temperate Climate Zone of the South. Includes the states of the Southern Region and part of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul. The average temperature is 18 °C, considered the lowest in the country. Rains are regular and well distributed. Summer is hot and winter is quite cold, with snow or frost being common in certain places.
