Traffic is the movement of people on city streets or even along roads. This movement can be done on foot, by bicycle, car, bus, etc.
With the increase in population, the government – responsible for organizing the cities – had to create ways to avoid accidents and leave the traffic in good working order.
Traffic laws were created, the identification signs used in it, such as a pedestrian crossing, a place to cross the streets; traffic lights, speed signs, street signs, etc., which people must respect, both drivers and pedestrians.
Traffic lights have light signals of different colors.
The traffic lights work in green, yellow and red order, repeating themselves all the time. At the green the driver can pass freely. At the yellowyou should pay more attention, as it is a warning that the light will turn red. The sign Redmeans the driver cannot pass, having to wait to turn green again.
There is also a traffic light for pedestrians that has a figure of a little man in red colors - indicating that the pedestrian must be stationary and in green color - indicating the moment that the pedestrian can pass through.
pedestrian sign
Many pedestrians do not respect these laws, crossing the streets in places that do not have crosswalks or even traffic lights, crossing in places with high movement of vehicles. This is wrong because it can cause pedestrians to be run over due to the lack of signage and the driver not being very attentive.
We must cross the streets under the crosswalk
A big problem with traffic is the lack of respect from drivers of cars, buses with bikers. It is one of the major causes of death, because accidents are constant. Motorcyclists also do not usually respect traffic laws, cutting cars in any way, going over sidewalks, advancing signs and speeding.
Guard organizing the traffic
Traffic guards also help organize the traffic. They make signage in places that do not have traffic lights or monitor places with high traffic.
Some attitudes help to avoid accidents such as:
- cross the streets in crosswalk,
- use the catwalks suitable for pedestrians,
- do not stick your head or arms out of vehicles,
- wear seat belts,
- just cross the street with the open pedestrian sign,
- don't play near the streets,
- only walk on the sidewalks,
- do not drive too fast,
- respect the plates signage and signs,
- do not drive after drinking alcohol, etc.
