modesty means have discretion, modesty with something that is said or done, and usually refers to shyness or embarrassment to show off the body. Shame is the feeling that prevents a person from doing something considered morally indecent, like being naked in public, for example.
As said, modesty is closely related to the body and behavior derived from a very severe religious or moral education. As a result of this cultural factor, an example of modesty is when women do not dress in a vulgarly, but in a demure and discreet way, as is morally established by the society.
In the Portuguese language, the word "modest" came from the Latin modesty ("shame"). The person who has this feeling refuses to draw attention to themselves, especially with regard to the body.

Indecent Assault
Indecent assault was considered a crime, according to the Brazilian Penal Code, and was configured as "To constrain someone, through violence or serious threat, to practice or allow him to practice a libidinous act different from the carnal conjunction" (art. 214).
However, in order to cover the definition of rape crime, which in the Penal Code was described as an act performed exclusively with women - "To constrain a woman to the carnal conjunction, through violence or serious threat" (art. 213) - the crime of indecent assault was revoked.
With Law No. 12,015, of August 7, 2009, there was a change in some aspects of sexual crimes provided for in Brazilian criminal law. Currently, the crime of rape replaces the expression "violent indecent assault", and consists of "To constrain someone, through violence or serious threat, to have carnal conjunction or to practice or allow another libidinous act to be performed with him".
THE penalty provided for the crime of rape is from 6 (six) to 10 (ten) years of imprisonment in a closed regime, which may be aggravated if there is an injury of a serious nature in the victim (8 to 12 years of imprisonment) or which results in the death of the victim (12 to 30 years of prison).
