Free courses in German, Italian and Japanese are offered by MEC

Enrollment is now open for the selection processes of the free courses in German, Italian and Japanese offered by the Ministry of Education (MEC) at the accredited universities of the program Languages ​​without Borders (IsF). The deadline is September 19th.

Undergraduate, masters or doctoral students from universities that offer the courses and who have completed up to 90% of the total credits for the course can apply.

Active technicians and professors from the same accredited institutions and who are actively enrolled in the Integrated System of Administration of Human Resources (Siape) for more than six months, as well as technicians and professors from the State University of São Paulo (Unesp), provided they have been at the institution for more than six months.

Participating Universities

The German course offers 19 places at each participating institution: Unesp, University of São Paulo (USP) and Federal Universities of Bahia (UFBA), from Ceará (UFC), Campina Grande (UFCG), Fluminense (UFF), Minas Gerais (UFMG), Paraná (UFPR), Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and Santa Maria (UFSM).

Italian classes will be offered at UFC, UFPR, UFSM and the federal states of Pará (UFPA), Pernambuco (UFPE), Santa Catarina (UFSC) and Viçosa (UFV). The Japanese course will take place in five federal universities: UFPR, in Amazonas (UFAM), in Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and at the University of Brasília (UnB). In Italian and Japanese courses, up to 20 places will be offered at each institution.

How to apply

Students, professors and technicians from these institutions will be able to enroll until 12:00 on Monday, the 19th, by Student IsF system. It is not possible to register for more than one course.
