Registration for the 8th National Olympiad in the History of Brazil is now open

This Monday, February 22, registration for the 8th National Olympiad in History was opened do Brasil (ONHB), project developed by the Department of History of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). The deadline is April 29th or until the enrollment limit is reached.

Students from public and private schools in the 8th and 9th grade of elementary and high school can participate. Participants can be from regular education, vocational education, supplementary education or Youth and Adult Education (EJA).

Students must organize themselves into groups of three participants, all from the same school, with the guidance of a history teacher. The same teacher can guide different teams, but each student can only be part of one team.

All team members, including the faculty advisor, must apply individually. After individual registrations, registration for the Olympics must be carried out by only one member of the team, preferably the guiding professor, who must inform the group's data.

Public schools
- From February 22 to March 23: R$ 30 per team
- From March 24th to April 29th: R$ 45

- February 22 to March 23: R$ 60 per team
- From March 24th to April 29th: R$90 per team

Olympics

the Olympics of history of Brazil it comprises six phases, the first five being online. The last phase is in person and will be held at Unicamp, in Campinas. The first two phases will have 11 objective questions each, the third and fourth 12 objective questions, the fifth phase is a task and the last phase is composed of different questions and challenges.

In the first phase 10% of the participants will be eliminated, in the second phase 30%, in the third 40%, in the fourth 60% and for the last phase 200 teams will be approved.

Awards

Students and teachers from the teams with the best scores in the Brazilian History Olympiad will receive gold, plate and bronze medals. In addition, all participants will receive a certificate.
