Large health institutions, such as the World Health Organization (WHO) it's the Ministry of Health, establish as recommendations the permanence of people at home to avoid large-scale transmission of the new coronavirus.
The guidelines are for work and study to be carried out remotely and only professionals in essential services circulate on the streets.
O Ministry of Education (MEC) supported this decision and restricted in-person classes. However, the quarantine and interruption of normal activities does not mean the absence of study.
Therefore, the MEC and some public education institutions in the country are offering over 31.7 thousand places for professional and technical qualification. All vacancies are for realization by distance learning (DL), avoiding going against health recommendations.
This EaD proposal is part of the programNew ways, released in 2019. The program projects that, by 2021, more than 78 thousand places will be offered with the objective of improving professional and technical education, stimulating entrepreneurship among thousands of Brazilians.
Among the 31.7 thousand places projected for this period, only 14 thousand places are available, the rest will be released in the coming weeks.
