The child's emotional development during the first two years of life
It is at this stage that the child experiences what is proper to him, what is external, that is, when he is aware of the "I".
During this development, the presence of the mother or an adult is of paramount importance to meet the child's needs, playing the role of auxiliary ego, since this allows the child to differentiate what is part of their interior and what makes the world outside.
At the beginning of the consolidation of the “I” the child needs to develop the feeling of basic confidence, and this is provided to him if his basic needs are satisfied when manifested. This also favors the acquisition of the notion of causality and temporality, as if their needs are met, they are able to trust the adult even when he is not present.
Some negative aspects to developing a secure personality are impatient, hostile parents who do not meet these needs, which can generate anxiety, fear, a feeling of isolation and abandonment in kids.
The fundamental aspect during the construction of the “I” in childhood is linked to a stable emotional climate, where the child is able to receive love and security.
