Fwd is an abbreviation of the English word "forward" which in the context of electronic messages means "forward". The abbreviation "Fwd:" usually appears in the subject field of an email to indicate that it is a message in which the sender has used the "Forward" option.
It is a useful option and is normally used when the user intends to divulge the contents of a received message to one or more people. However, choose the "Forward" option to send email to one or multiple recipients implies paying attention to the following topics that will help prevent email propagation unwanted (spam):
1. First, most messages forwarded on the internet are created by spammers to get email addresses. These are usually messages with power point attached, chains that cannot be broken, false petitions in favor of humanitarian organizations and several other creative messages intended to entice people to refer to the list of friends.
2. Often, those who forward messages do not take into account the privacy of their contacts and in the "To" field enter all email addresses. This is an inappropriate way to forward because all emails will be visible and can be used for unlawful purposes.
3. An effective solution, which is part of the "Netiquette" rules, is to forward messages using the "Bcc" field (Bcc) which has the function of hiding the addresses and, before sending, erase all other visible addresses in the message.
