Time and the duration of facts, is what determines the moments, periods, epochs, hours, days, weeks, centuries, etc. The word time can have many different meanings depending on the context in which it is used.
The expression "in time" means that the event is happening at the right time, at the right time.
"Time" is the atmospheric moment, it is the definition of the climate and the seasons of the year. "Closing time" is darkening and threatening to rain. In Brazil, the expression "time crumbling" is torrential rain.
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), in Portuguese, Greenwich Mean Time, refers to the Greenwich meridian, which serves as a reference to calculate longitudes and establish time zones.
"Musical tempo" is each of the complete parts of a musical piece, in which the tempo changes. It is the duration of each part of the measure.
"Verbal tense" is the inflection indicative of the moment to which the state or action of the verbs refers. It is the past, present or future.
"Killing time" is an expression used in the moment of distraction, of fun. "Having time" is to be free, unhurried, available. "Wasting time" is using it for useless things, where good results are not expected. "In my time" is when we refer to a moment in our life, in front of an event that happened in the past. "Taking a break" or "taking a break" is asking for a moment, asking for a break from any activity.
"Travel time" is the time taken to travel a certain distance. In physics, this time is calculated based on the distance covered and the speed of the object.
"Working time" is the daily period of time, in which the worker is at the disposal of a company, it is his working day.
The popular expressions, "in the time of the jaguar", "in the time of the old king" or even "in the time of the Afonsinhos", mean something old-fashioned, very old or in a very distant time.
