Meaning of LED (What is it, Concept and Definition)

LED is the acronym for Light Emitting Diode, which means "light emitting diode". It consists of a light conduction technology, using electrical energy.

The LED has the function of emitting light in places and instruments, such as lamps, flashlights and so on.

The LED is a conductor of electrical energy, which when energized, emits light visible to the naked eye. The lighting system with incandescent lamps, however, uses a model of metallic filaments and gas discharge to produce light.

LED is widely used in electronic products, as a warning sign, but also in instruments larger, such as traffic lights, as well as LED panels and curtains for billboards, by example.

LED technology and lighting is present in many occasions of everyday life. Currently, this system is very common and more economical than old lighting models, such as halogen lamps, for example.

LED television

Currently, it is also common to apply LED technology in televisions.

The LED TV has better liquid crystal light filtering compared to others, meaning the colors appearing in the image are purer.

Another advantage is the quality of the light emitted, as it remains the same during the entire time of use, without losing its brightness or changing color at any time.
