RPG Physiotherapy consists of a physical therapy method whose purpose is fix posture problems through specific techniques of stretching the muscle tissue. The acronym RPG stands for Global Postural Reeducation.
The techniques were developed in France, in the early 1980s, by therapist Philippe Souchard. After several years of studies and research, a physiotherapeutic method of postural correction was developed, working the patient globally.
RPG aims to prevent and treat musculoskeletal injuries and other postural changes, using postures therapies that relax muscle chains shortened by injury or by remaining static, easing pain cervical and lumbar.
Through RPG, the patient also benefits from the strengthening of postural tone, the elimination of tensions accumulated by emotional problems, the relief of pulmonary problems, among others.
The breathing exercises that are part of the RPG sessions are highly favorable for the patient's emotional balance and improvement of the quality of life.
The RPG postures are guided by a physiotherapist, through an individual treatment and has no age restrictions, being suitable for people of any age group.
