Vilify is a transitive verb in Portuguese and means the despising or belittling something, someone or something.
O vilification it is the action of vilifying, that is, making someone feel humiliated, despised and offended, through words, gestures or actions. To vilify someone is considered disrespectful, as it is based on the premise that this individual is unworthy, vile, insignificant or miserable.
Examples: "The boy likes to vilify his parents" or "The stepmother usually vilifies her daughter's projects".

O corpse vilification is considered a crime against respect for dead human beings, provided for in article 212 of the Brazilian Penal Code, law No. 2,848 of December 7, 1940.
According to this law, the act of veiling corpses or their ashes can be punished between one to three years of imprisonment and payment of a fine.
Among the most common crimes of vilification of the dead human body is the so-called necrophilia, that is, when someone has sex with the corpse.
