CIF means "International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health", and is the current model used by the World Health Organization (WHO) for health and disability. It constitutes the conceptual basis for defining, measuring and developing policies in this area.
The ICF addresses functionality and disability in accordance with health conditions, indicating what an individual can or cannot do in everyday life, according to the functions of the organs or systems and structures of the body.
This model has great advantages when implemented and can be very important when used in clinical practice, teaching and research.
As it represents a biopsychosocial model, the ICF presents a coherent view of the different perspectives of health: biological, individual and social.
This model is also intended to facilitate the dissemination of information in the area of personal health care, prevention, health promotion and increased participation, destroying social barriers and encouraging support and facilitators social.
CIF freight
CIF can also refer to the acronym determined by the Incoterms, which means Cost, Insurance and Freight or in Portuguese "Custo, Seguros e Freight".
In this case, the CIF standard determines that the supplier is responsible for all aspects of delivery, such as freight and marine insurance. The supplier is responsible until the goods arrive at their destination.
