Mood is a emotional condition of human beings, related to their “state of mind”, mood and temperament.
Unlike other emotional states, mood is usually a more prolonged feeling. Fear, for example, is a more immediate and fleeting emotion, while the mood can last for hours or even days.
Example:"He spent the day with high spirits".
Mood can be either positive or negative in nature, in the latter case the word discouragement.
The word “heart” can still be used as an interjection, representing an excess of courage and strength. Example: "You need to keep your spirits up to solve your problems."
Etymologically, the word “animal” originated from the Latin animus, which means “soul”, “courage” or “mind”. This Latin term, in turn, derives from the Indo-European root ANE-, which means “breathe” (typical action of all animate beings, that is, that are alive).
