The moral is a two-gender adjective that classifies someone no sense of moral, i.e, is neither against nor in favor of the principles of morality.
Amoral is what is outside of morality, that is, what is neutral with regard to ethics. In a practical sense, an amoral individual lives without the subjective conditions required for his acts or judgments to be moral.
The status or quality of a person without moral obligations or ethical principles is termed amorality.
Difference between amoral and immoral
These two words are related to the term moral, whose origin is the Latin term moralis, which reveals acceptable behavior in a society.
The difference between immoral and amoral is that the amoral individual has no knowledge of moral norms, and so his behavior is not molded according to morality. On the other hand, one who is immoral is aware of the rules of morality, but still practices acts that are repudiated by the majority of society. (for example: a worker who takes a bribe to break a rule).
Let's look at the following example: a baby gets lost from its parents during an excursion and lives for more than ten years in the wild, being raised among chimpanzees. One day, the teenager is found by a group of biologists who take him to the city. When he returns, she manages to escape from an institution, and walks the streets without clothes, stealing for food and taking care of her needs wherever she goes. For a person who was raised in that society, this behavior might be considered immoral, but in reality the child is amoral, because she didn't know the rules of morality and didn't know that what she was doing was considered wrong in that context.
amoralism
Amoralism is a doctrine that, in the theoretical sense, indicates the denial of obligations proposed by moral laws. This means that according to amoralism, life should not be lived according to the norms of morality.
Several authors have presented arguments in favor of amorality. Nietzsche defended amoralism by pointing out that prevailing moral standards were not valid and needed to be replaced. Hegel already indicated that history and the world cannot be gauged through moral models.
There are also several thinkers who are against amoralism, claiming that its premises can culminate in immoralism.
