Born again means having the opportunity to restart the life, have one new chance. The term is widely used in the Bible, and also in the Evangelical Church, since being born again is synonymous with accepting the sacrifice of Jesus.
In the Bible, in John 3:1-21, Jesus tells Nicodemus, a Pharisee, that in order to see the Kingdom of God, one must be born again. Initially, Nicodemus doesn't understand, because he thought it was a physical or biological birth-again. However, Jesus was talking about being born again of the Spirit, that to see the Kingdom of God it was necessary to change the course of life, accepting the salvation that is given to human beings through the acceptance of His sacrifice and its teachings.
At the spiritism, it is also spoken of being born again, and the same passages from the Bible are used, as they believe that when Jesus spoke of “being born again” is a sign that he believed in resurrection, that is, after a person dies, he can be born again and return to the Earth.
Being born again is also a colloquial term used when someone goes through a great deal of difficulty, or a car accident, for example, and survived, means she was "born again" after seeing the death of close.
