Agricultural subsidy is a monetary aid that agricultural producers receive from the State with the objective of reducing the final price of products, allowing for greater competitiveness in the international market.
The subsidy for agriculture is usually accompanied by advantages, such as lower interest rates than the market, fiscal barriers and sanitary products for similar imported products, tax reduction, financing for the purchase of fertilizers, agricultural pesticides, machinery etc.
