Difference between Irony and Sarcasm
Sarcasm is considered a more serious and insulting type of irony, intended to humiliate and mock something or someone.
Irony, as said, aims to express something that does not necessarily mean what the person thinks. But, in this case, it is also not an obligation to humiliate or provoke comedy, as is the case with sarcasm.
