And it is important to mention that qualifications will not have training prerequisites.

high demand

From the perspective of the entities, with the absence of qualified labor, the country will not be able to face a complete digital transformation, enjoying the potential of 5G.

“Today there is a gap in the market for professionals trained to work in the installation of optical fiber, used to cover the demand for fixed broadband. Young people as the main target audience

The courses have as their target audience the “nor-nem generation”, which covers young people who do not study and do not work.

Initially, three optical fiber installation and maintenance laboratories in Brasília (DF), Palmas (TO) and Salvador (BA) will provide free courses for classes of 20 students each. The first will have 60 vacancies, entries must be made at the site.

According to a survey by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) Social, in a greater number than ever, the population in the age group 20 to 24 years old who neither work nor study increased from 28.6% in the last quarter of 2019 to 35.2% in the second quarter of 2020. In the case of Brazilians aged between 25 and 29 years, the growth went from 25.5% to 33%.

Senai highlights that information estimated by the government indicates the potential generation of 200,000 jobs with the implementation of 5G in Brazil.

Senai's general director, Rafael Lucchesi, explains that the industry should be the first economic sector to benefit from 5G. “We will have a transformation from the factory floor to the office, with machines and equipment connected and new functions, but before that, it is necessary to guarantee the infrastructure of the network”, said Lucchesi.
