O Mothers Day is commemorative date, instituted in Brazil by a decree signed by Getulio Vargas, whose purpose is to value mothers and highlight the importance they have in society.
Without a mother there is no child, and without a child there is no continuity of humanity. Therefore, even if there is a trivialization of the date, it is necessary to reflect on the values of the maternal figure in the social context.
In antiquity, celebrations were already held in honor of maternal figures. However, the date was officially instituted only on May 8, 1914, in U.S, becoming popular later all over the world.
The achievement is due to the activists feminists, Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis and Anna Jarvis, her daughter. Anna, after her mother's death, drew up a memorial for Ann and conceived a campaign to get Mother's Day recognized.

JUSTIFICATION
Being a mother is not an easy task and usually involves taking care of the child, the family, the house, in addition to work. Although the word has only 3 letters, its real meaning goes far beyond simple naming.
Being a mother is a daily challenge, a constant learning experience, without a cake recipe or manual to follow. With this, every time a child is generated, a mother is born and both learn together.
However, along this path, mothers do not always have the right to make mistakes, as they come to be seen as heroes, the wonder women of society.
Thus, it is important to emphasize the role played by the person who constitutes the role of mother, in the field of the home. This space will not necessarily belong to the female parent, considering that in many cases, and for different reasons, the parentsor other family members need to assume the role.
