Founded in 1636, the Harvard University, one of the most prestigious in the world, released more than 100 free courses on your online platform. The objective is to expand knowledge and offer professional qualification during this quarantine period.
Due to the pandemic of new coronavirus (Covid-19), classes will be entirely taught in the distance model (EaD), allowing the student flexibility in time and place of study. The monitoring of classes is free, however, the issuance of the digital certificate is paid.
The courses are available on the HarvardX platform, a section of the edX website dedicated to the institution's disciplines. In total, there are more than 100 free online Harvard courses available on the platform. The purpose of HarvardX is not just to create courses for the university, but to democratize access to knowledge.

Most courses offered on the platform are self-paced, that is, they can be done at the student's preferred pace, time and location. Some, however, have specific start and end dates, and require student follow-up on certain days and times.
Classes are taught in English, however, some of the courses available have subtitles in Portuguese. The 100 free courses are categorized into 14 areas, which are:

The themes of the courses available at edX are quite varied, ranging from “China and Communism” to "Introduction to Probability" and even "Islam through its Scriptures" or "The Ancient Greek Hero" by example. So, check out some of the most sought after and popular courses at the university:
- CS50: Introduction to Computer Science: introduction to computer science, comprehensive notion of computing and programming in different areas and algorithmic thinking in solving problems efficiently.
- justice: introduction to the moral and political philosophy that underlies our contemporary idea of justice, addressing issues such as affirmative action, income distribution and human rights.
- Masterpieces of World Literature: explores the great literary works written by mankind and studies authors such as Homero, Goethe, Camões and Jorge Luis Borges.
- Data Science: Visualization: explores the science of data, through tools such as ggplot2, teaching the student to generate data visualizations that make the answers more evident.
