On the last Thursday of December 31, the federal government published in the Official Gazette (DOU) the list of National holidays in 2021, as well as optional points for federal agencies.
According to the Ministry of Economy, public holidays under state or municipal law will be observed by the respective government offices. In addition, religious dates not listed by the ordinance may be compensated by the local administrative responsible, as long as they are previously informed.
