The Ministry of Education (MEC) provides 31.7 thousand vacancies for free courses in the distance mode (EaD). These are professional and technical level qualifications that can be accessed and completed during quarantine.
The initiative, which integrates the New Paths Program, was created in partnership with public educational institutions in the country.
Through the project, the aim is to encourage entrepreneurship, via professional and technological education.
The forecast is that by 2021, 78 thousand places will be opened in different courses, in the on-site and distance modalities.
MEC platform offers free online courses
The training platform offered by the MEC brings together technical courses in the areas of administration, logistics, environment and others.
Access is done by program website. When accessing, just indicate state, municipality, distance education modality and education level. Then, the registered institutions and the available courses will be highlighted on the screen.

They are complete courses, with an average workload of 800 hours. there is also programming courses, management and other areas, lasting 160 hours.
New Paths Program
The MEC's New Paths Program aims to work together with the constant development of new technologies. Also together with production processes and commercial and social relations.
"A context that demands both technical skills specific to the occupation (hard skills) as well as others (soft skills), such as such as creativity, ability to work in a team and adaptation, building solutions and acting with autonomy", points out the website of the project.
According to the program, the offer of courses in the scope of Professional and Technological Education must always be aligned with the demands of the productive sector. In addition, it is healthy that they act together with the employment and income policy, in order to guarantee real results.
“The investment in qualification trains professionals who are quickly integrated into the world of work”, adds the project's introductory text.
