José Bento Renato Monteiro Lobato, popularly known as Monteiro Lobato, was a great writer of books on Brazilian children's literature. He was known for his collection of children's book works.
Creator of the famous Sítio do Pica Pau Amarelo, he also wrote other great books such as: A Menina do Narizinho Upturned, Fables by Narizinho, Narizinho Upturned, The Marquis of Rabicó, The Hunting of the Jaguar, among many others.
