Thinking about these people who live in doubt when writing and who would like to improve their skills, the Brazilian Academy of Letters (ABL) created a completely free application that allows consult to Orthographic Vocabulary of the Portuguese Language(VOLP) through your cell phone screen.
The app is available for Smartphone and tablet versions and can be downloaded from Android or iOS. It has more than 300,000 entries that already follow the new rules provided for in the Orthographic Agreement of the Portuguese Language, which will start to be billed from January 1, 2016.
To facilitate typing on small screens, the application has a very interesting feature, VOLP, which allows you to complete what is being written. Thus, when a user starts typing part of a certain word whose spelling they want to consult, a list of possible results on the screen of the device, and it can find the display of the word even before finishing the write it down.

But the advantages don't stop there. Another feature that draws a lot of attention in the application is the font adjustment, which allows you to enlarge or reduce the size of the letters, facilitating the reading process.
In just a few days of operation, the app has already gained wide public acceptance and a rating of 4.7 on Google Play, with a maximum score of 5. Some comments have also already been registered and can significantly contribute to the improvement of the app. Among the manifestations are praise and suggestions for improvement.
In addition to this new feature that has been very successful, the Brazilian Academy of Letters also has the online space ABL Answers, aimed at questions about grammar or spelling.
