O Humanism it was an intellectual current that came into force in the 15th century. Marked by a current of thought that diminished the cultural relevance built during the Middle Ages, Humanism valued the anthropocentrism.

This intellectual current was largely influenced by the Greco-Roman Classical Antiquity that placed the human being in evidence, at the center of the world.

THE rationality it was the second fundamental element for the definition of Humanism. In opposition to faith, reason was brought to the fore as medieval (religious) thought lost its value.
