Classification of Verbs. Study of Verb Classification

Portuguese verbs are classified as: regular, irregular, anomalous, defective and abundant.
• Regular: are those in which the stem remains the same throughout the conjugation.
Example: verb to sing.

• Irregulars: they are verbs whose radicals change or whose endings do not follow the model of the conjugation to which they belong.
Example: verb listen.

• Anomalous: verbs that have more than one radical when conjugated.
Example: verb to be and to go.
In the verb to be different radicals occur, note the difference between: be it was.
In the verb to go, in the same way: go, go, go.
• Defective: not present in all pushups.
Examples:

• Abundant: have two or more equivalent forms.
Example:
