School X Violence. Reflections on Violence at School

Violence is a social problem that is present in actions within schools, and manifests itself in different ways among everyone involved in the educational process. This should not happen, as the school is a place for the formation of ethics and morality for the subjects included there, whether they are students, teachers or other employees.

However, what we see are coercive actions, represented by the power and authoritarianism of teachers, coordination and direction, on a hierarchical scale, with students in the midst of professional conflicts that end up reflecting within the classroom. class.

In addition, violence stamped on the streets of cities, domestic violence, robbery, smuggling, white collar crimes have led young people to lose their lives. credibility as a fair and egalitarian society, capable of promoting social development under equal conditions for all, making them violent, according to these models social.

In schools, day-to-day relationships should reflect respect for others, through attitudes that lead to friendship, harmony and integration of people, aiming to achieve the objectives proposed in the political pedagogical project of the institution.

Much is said about combating violence, however, taking it literally, fighting means fighting, bombing, fighting, which does not bring a correct concept to revoke it. Public institutions themselves use this erroneous concept, a principle that should be the motivator for the lack of engagement in these actions.

Motivating class that encourages reflection and learning

Bringing this theme into the classroom from the early grades is a way of working with a theme. controversial and present in our lives, providing opportunities for reflection that will help in the transformation Social.

With clippings from newspapers and magazines, surveys, movies, music, cartoons, television news, among others, teachers can raise discussions about the topic in a possible way of creating an environment of respect for others, considering that everyone involved in the educational process must participate and engage in this action, so that it does not become contradictory. And far beyond discussions and moments of reflection, teachers must propose solutions and analyses. criticisms about the problems so that students perceive themselves capable of acting as citizens.

After all, credibility and trust are the best ways to show children and young people that it is possible to overcome the challenges and problems that life presents.
