Decline in population growth

The world population is expected to stop growing after 2070, according to the forecast of researchers at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, for them the world's population will only grow in the next seventy years and reach about 9.3 billion people, then it will decline and stabilize at 8.4 billion.

Currently the world population is 6.2 billion people, access to better living conditions and the constant advancement of medicine provides a growing rise in life expectancy, but even so birth rates are likely to fall, according to the demographer Wolfgang Lutz. In addition, for Lutz, the decrease in population will be promoted by the very people who will have less and less children, aiming to offer a better quality of life to their descendants, thus consolidating as a change cultural.
On the other hand, the decrease in birth rates will lead to an aging population, in the same study it was predicted that the percentage of people over 60, which today represents 10%, will reach about 34% by the end of this century.

The forecasts are not invariable, as they depend on the region or country, Lutz says that the poor countries present in Africa and Asia still will show significant growths, the population of Africa, for example, is expected to double even with the AIDS and other epidemics illnesses. With the exception of the aforementioned continents, other regions of the planet will have to learn to deal with the issue of the aging of the world's population.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
