CCTV has more than 20 television channels aimed at different audiences. CCTV-1 is the generalist and main channel, broadcasting information, entertainment and fiction.

CCTV is an acronym for “closed-circuit television” meaning “closed circuit or internal television circuit”. In Portuguese, it is also known by the acronym CCTV. Closed circuit television consists of a television system consisting of cameras located in specific points for the purpose of recording and transmitting images to one or more local monitors or remotes.
CCTV is used with the main objective of monitoring certain spaces, which may be private or public (schools, banks, streets, etc.) or even for monitoring forest areas.
