Fuels. studying fuels

Fuel is characterized by being any substance that, when reacting with oxygen, produces heat, gases or flames. The energy released during this process is of fundamental importance for human activities and, mainly for industrial production, as most machines run on energy fuel.

Several substances can be used in the manufacture of fuel, the most popular being those of fossil origin (oil, coal and natural gas). However, the need to develop alternatives that can gradually replace fossil fuels has driven research into obtaining biofuels.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)

Sugarcane, agricultural residues, oil palm, oil plants and forest biomass are the main raw materials in the production of biofuel, which is one of the least aggressive to the environment, as the emission of polluting gases is practically null.

In this section, texts on the classification and characterization of fuels are available, main substances used in its production, geopolitical aspects of oil, among other topics pertinent.

A great read everyone!
