QHSE are the initials of English words quality (Quality), health (Health), Safety (Safety), Environment (Environment).
The meaning of these four components for companies is related to the idea that accidents in work are caused by human errors and that can be avoided through business management responsible.
The environment also becomes an issue of fundamental importance in companies' strategies and responsibilities.
QHSE policies (sometimes referred to as HSE) are defined by each company, according to the activity performed, but are generally based on:
- Promote the well-being and quality of life of professionals;
- Ensure the physical health of workers, offering a safe working environment and a constant concern for safety to prevent physical injuries;
- Provide continuous training to workers on the risks inherent in the activities carried out to prevent accidents;
- Protect the environment through actions that eliminate environmental damage;
- Optimize the use of natural resources.
