Religion is a set of beliefs and philosophies that are followed, forming different thoughts. Each religion has its differences in some aspects, but the vast majority are similar in believing in something or someone from the higher plane and in life after death. Among the large number of religions in the world today, there are those that stand out and manage to win a large number of believers. They are:
Christianity: It is the largest religion in the world, with about 2,106,962 followers. It is monotheistic and is based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
Islam: It has approximately 1,283,424,000 faithful, it is the second most practiced religion in the world. Furthermore, it is also a system that monitors politics, economy and social life.
Hinduism: With about 851,291,000 believers, it is the third largest and oldest religion in the world. Religion is based on texts such as the Vedas, the Puranas, the Mahabharata and the Ramayama.
Chinese Religions: It has approximately 402,065,000 followers who are based on various beliefs.
Buddhism: With approximately 375,440,000 faithful, occupies fifth place. It is a religion and a philosophy that mirror the life of the Buddha. He left nothing in writing, but his disciples wrote about his achievements and teachings so that his later believers could get to know him.
