Sleep and the heart

Sleeping well is very important for health and quality of life. A person who sleeps well wakes up with energy and has more breath and disposition for daily tasks. Man spends approximately a third of his life sleeping and that is why sleep is vital for restore the body's energies, improving concentration and other activities that involve body and mind.
Sleep involves steps. When a person falls asleep, blood pressure and heart rate rise as the day's information is processed. Then there is a drop in metabolic activity and a reduction in blood pressure and heart rate. Later, in deep sleep, hormones are released. When a person wakes up, their muscles are relaxed and their heart slows down. With this cycle accomplished, the physical and the psychological rest.
When sleep is insufficient, the brain is alert and substances are produced that will cause tachycardia. This stress that has been stimulated induces hypertension that damages blood vessels. In addition, sleepless nights interfere with the production of hormones that generate satiety, making the person prone to obesity. In studies using laboratory animals, they were unable to stay awake for more than 10 days, and died from widespread infection.


So, take good care of your heart and blood vessels, maintaining a routine of waking and sleeping times, practicing physical activities, sleeping in comfortable, quiet and dark places, in addition to maintaining a diet healthy. Try to slow down your fast pace, because it's no use sleepless nights during the week and the supposed sleep recovery on the weekend, because the body needs discipline according to its clock biological.
