Meaning of Politically Correct (What It Is, Concept and Definition)

Political correctness is used as a title for classify something or someone that follows established norms and laws by an official institution.

Usually, when we talk about "politically correct", it refers to the neutralization of a language or speech, avoiding the use of stereotyped narratives or narratives that may refer to different forms of discrimination such as racism, sexism, homophobia and so on.

On the other hand, there is the idea of Politically Incorrect. In this perspective, any precaution in avoiding the use of terms, for example, that may offend certain social groups or groups, is considered stupid and totally ignored.

Politically incorrect speeches are quite common in humor, which explore subjects considered taboo by society, disregarding classical principles of morals, ethics and good customs.
