issuing agency or issuing agency is the public agency responsible for issuing various documents to citizens, such as the identity (RG), birth certificate, criminal record certificate, driver's license, passport, etc.

There is a frequent doubt about the identification of the issuing body in the Identity Card. The General Registry (RG) is a personal document normally issued by the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) of each state.

To find out which agency is issuing/issuing the RG, just check the identification document (on the side where the photo is) which acronym that accompanies the State (UF).

If the ID card was taken at the Civil Police (most frequent situation), then the issuing body will be PC - (state acronym).

RG - Issuing AgencyIdentification of the issuing agency in a General Registry (RG).

When someone takes the entrance exam or competes for a job vacancy, they usually need to fill in the field: Issuing / Issuer of Identity Card.

When requesting the issuing body of your RG, just put SSP/and the abbreviation of your state, assuming that the identity card was taken at the Civil Police.
