Definition of Ufology (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Ufology (or ufology) is the study of all hypotheses, evidence or visual records of UFOs. UFO stands for Unknown Flying Objects which means Unknown Flying Objects. It is the same as UFO - Unidentified Flying Objects, from which the word "UFO" is derived.

There are countless evidences that emerge about the phenomenon, from photos, sounds, movies or reports recorded by those who supposedly lived some related experience. The sighting of flying saucers, the presence of alien beings on earth, the control of humanity by extraterrestrials (ETs) are the most widespread hypotheses among those who believe in the phenomenon. However, the visions are believed to be related to natural phenomena, distorted visions or hallucinations.

The UFO phenomenon is closely linked to the mystical and supernatural universe. Legends and folk tales are also part of the fantasy process. Therefore, there is strong skepticism about the supposed evidence that emerges on the topic.

As it is difficult to obtain credible data to study the objects that are part of this phenomenon, the research carried out by ufologists is not considered to be of a scientific nature, although scientists from the most diverse areas are involved in researches.
