As you may already know, adverbs can manifest themselves in comparative degree and in the superlative. However, there are some adverbs that have a specific synthetic comparative form. This is the case of the adverb “good”. Thus, it is necessary to pay attention to the construction of the comparative degree. Look:
1) Synthetic comparative form:
Animals have adapted to change better than we.
2) If the adverb "well", in the comparison, is used with participles that have the function of an adjective, will have the form "better":
Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
my painting is better harmonized than yours.
IN SHORT:
BETTER THAN |
Synthetic comparative form |
BETTER THAN |
It accompanies participle with adjectival function. |
