Peninsula
Parts of continental lands that advance over the sea, surrounded by marine waters on all sides, this strip of emerged land is used to reach the interior of the continent.
Peninsulas can have different lengths, however, the process and criteria for designating a peninsula are not very clear and conclusive, an example of this is the European continent, which is often defined as a huge peninsula of Asia.
The peninsulas are not only found in Europe, many continents have this configuration on their coast, it is logical that each varies according to the particular natural elements.

We could classify an island as a continent, however, what distinguishes them is precisely their extension. In this context, Australia, which has a territory of 7,600,000 square kilometers, is the smallest continent in the world, given what was mentioned, we could question in which category Oceania fits: a huge island or a continent? Given the questioning, it is evident that the ideological factors of regionalization in the world are valid.
