Let's continue the our series of publications withchristmas recipes, which aims to increase your options for starters, main courses and desserts, with more classic preparations with modern adaptations and some less obvious ones, thus diversifying its supper of Christmas.
In this post, we bring the pork shank recipe with plum sauce, as a suggestion for a main course, a modernization of the classic ham, present on many Christmas tables for years.
This is a good suggestion. for those who want to change the menu a little, but in a subtle way, with a different preparation for the same meat and surprising the whole family with new flavors.
Pork shank with plum sauce
Ingredients
1 kg of pork shank
4 cloves of garlic
1 can of plum in syrup
2 tablespoons of mustard
½ cup of nuts
Oil
Black pepper to taste
salt to taste

Preparation mode
Make incisions along the ham and season with sliced garlic, salt, black pepper and oil. Let the meat rest in the mixture for at least two hours. Heat the oven to 180°C. Place the ham in a roasting pan and let it roast for approximately two hours, during this period, water the piece of meat with its own juice. Take it out of the oven and let it rest. For the sauce, beat the plums in a blender with 100 ml of hot water, be careful with the hot steam that will come out of the blender. Mix with mustard and walnuts and finally add salt.
