Meaning of Femism (What it is, Concept and Definition)

femism is the ideology that preaches the superiority of females over males. It is considered the equivalent of machismo, but making the oppressed men, while women would be the oppressors.

Following the same trend as machismo, femism is marked by gender prejudice, in this case the male one. Femist people tend to humiliate, devalue, use aggressive comments and attitudes towards men.

Many people confuse femism with feminism, however both meanings are totally different, as will be explained later.

feminism and feminism

As said, femism is the "synonymous" of machismo, that is, an ideology that preaches the superiority of women in society, causing men to be despised, subjugated and oppressed.

On the other hand, feminism is a political movement aimed at achieving equal rights and duties between men and women. Thus, the main aim of feminists is to ensure that women and men have the same "balance in the balance" in society.

Feminism, unlike femism, does not encourage hatred and revenge against males. And, much less, is it the intention of feminists to establish a matriarchal "kingdom" on Earth.
