Etymologically, the word inheritance came from the Latin haerentia, being used to define the legacy or heritage that an individual can leave to their descendants.
The term "inheritance", as a good that is transmitted from one generation to another, can be attributed in many situations, the main ones being in the social, cultural, biological and legal context.
In the legal sphere, inheritance is any material asset, right or obligation that is passed on to another person through a will (through a will). Usually, inheritance is the assets (goods, possessions and rights) that a person, when he dies, passes on to his successors (heirs or legatees).
