Registration is open for the 2018 National History of Brazil Olympiad

Interested in participating in the National Olympics in history of Brazil (ONHB) 2018, organized by the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), can now apply. The deadline remains open until April 24th.

The competition is aimed at History teachers and students from Elementary (8th and 9th grades) and High School (every year) from public and private schools.

Until March 20, registration costs R$30 (students from public schools) and R$60 (students from private schools). Afterwards, the fees will be R$45 and R$90, respectively.

Olympics

Competitors must go through seven stages. The first six, starting on May 7th and ending on June 16th, will consist of online tests composed of multiple choice questions and assignments.

The last phase will be in person and is scheduled for the 18th and 19th of August in Campinas. At this stage, candidates must pass a dissertation test. The result should come out the next day.

According to the

regulation, all participants will receive a certificate. The first places will win gold, silver, bronze and “crystal” medals.

This year, the National Olympiad in the History of Brazil completes ten editions. Last year, 48 thousand people were registered.
