The economy of Santa Catarina is diversified, in the territory economic activities are developed in the industry, extractivism (animal, vegetable and mineral), agriculture, livestock, fishing, tourism. Santa Catarina is today the fifth richest state in the country.
Industry
The industrial sector operates mainly in textile, ceramic and metal-mechanical production.
