Opt, Opt or Opt?

There is not "i" in the verb to opt, despite being pronounced. So, correct is opto.
Now, the question of being with the no accent is already a question of phonetics. When we pronounce “opt” in the first person present tense, there is a stress in the first vowel “o”. But the truth is that if we were to follow the way we speak, we would write this verb like this: opitu.
Therefore, there is no “i” in any inflection of the verb to opt: I opt, he opts, I will opt, let me opt, when I opt, for us to opt.
So, taking up the prayer in the title, we have: I choose not to say anything else!
Ah, just one more observation: The gerund is “opting”, the participle “opted” and the infinitive “opt”.
