Ephemeral is the same as ephemeral, a Greek term meaning “just for one day”. refers to something passenger, transitional, in short term.
All things that are ephemeral have the characteristic of not lasting very long, of ending after a short time.
In nature, there are flowers that only last one day. They are the ephemeral flowers of certain cacti, orchids and other plants.
The insects of the genus ephemera, which belongs to the Ephemerid family, have this name because they only live for a few hours. They are tiny insects, reaching a maximum of four centimeters and inhabiting the banks of rivers or freshwater places.
Ephemeral art is any type of art that is not permanent, that is, it does not last through time. Examples of this art are graffiti, sculptures in sand or ice, colorful flower carpets built in the streets for religious celebrations, the installations built for momentary exhibitions etc.
Ephemeral (Music)
Efêmera is the name of the first album by São Paulo singer Tulipa Ruiz, released in 2010. It is also the title of the first song on the disc, consisting of 11 songs. Below is an excerpt from the song "Ephemeral":
"Freeze time because it slows down
with the things i like
And that I know are ephemeral
And that pass perishables
That end, say goodbye,
But I never forget.”
